I am a Ph.D. student at Department of Computer Science, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). I received a Master degree from UIUC and a Bachelor degree from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Both are in computer science.
My research interests include information retrieval, Web search, mining, and learning. My current research focus is on exploratory Web search and long-tail search, which aim at difficult queries. My advisor is Professor ChengXiang Zhai. I also worked with Professor Richard Sproat on machine transliteration and stream data mining.
